What my clients say

Apolline Daimaru, Co-founder, nowthen

How do you transition from being an employee to becoming a leader, as a socially slightly awkward person?”(lol) Was the question that tormented me at the time I started my creative studio. Having grown up as a shy and unassertive kid, I could feel that my lack of confidence and limiting self-beliefs were preventing me from becoming the leader and founder I wanted to be. I was lucky to be able to talk to other people that had benefited from Heather’s coaching and the reviews were very enticing.

After the curiosity call Heather made me a proposal with a very sharp and accurate understanding of my situation and this impressed me. As I was starting my business I did not have a lot of financial bandwidth so it was by no means an easy decision to make, but thinking about the potential transformation and impact in my business and career, I realized it would be absolutely worth it.

During the sessions, first of all I realized that a coach is necessary to keep yourself accountable. I have a busy schedule running a company and raising a child but I made a point to attend all the sessions because I knew my mind would be cleared and my morale pumped up after each coaching session for immediate and long term benefit.

It’s difficult to accurately explain the benefits of the coaching container because it’s so holistic. Starting with tangible business outcomes, after a few weeks of coaching I started to get more business opportunities. It was almost as if my mental transformation was drawing the right people and opportunities towards me. I shifted from struggling to attract clients to a point where I had more offers than I could handle on my own.

It’s also difficult to explain because many of the benefits come from unconscious, embodied shift, not rational choices. I basically feel like after doing all the embodiment exercises I naturally transformed into the person I needed to be - more confident and charismatic, at-ease, less anxious. I’m still the same person at the core and not necessarily a rockstar show-woman yet, but I no longer allow my lack of confidence inhibit my projects and ambitions, and took on some challenges I never thought I’d be capable of.

Difficult conversations or negotiations now come more naturally because I'm no longer consumed by the avoidance of (often unfounded) risks. I have gained the mental clarity and self-confidence needed to direct my attention towards seizing opportunities and bringing them within my reach.

At the core of the transformation is the exhilarating insight that identity is malleable – what was once shaped to fit a certain childhood context can be re-shifted. Knowing this intellectually is not enough - it must be felt in the body to have some effect. I am carrying with me this 'updated' identity, along with a set of tools and exercises that continue to instill more confidence, clarity, and decisiveness into my life.

If you find yourself feeling stuck in your business journey, knowing that you're onto something but lacking a couple of essential superpowers to propel you forward, I cannot recommend Heather's coaching container enough. The six-month duration is long enough to facilitate a profound, lasting transformation in your body and mind, yet still manageable from a financial standpoint.

While it's indeed a financial investment, I viewed it as a transformative experience that holds more impact for me than pursuing an MBA, all at a fraction of the cost.

When I decided to start working with Heather, I was going through a very challenging time. I had just started looking for someone to help me through that transition as it was difficult to navigate it alone. I had been following Heather’s work for a while and met her a few times at social gatherings. When a close friend who I trust told me she was working with her, I decided to book a discovery call with her.

I was convinced by her approach and her personality which seemed to be very compatible with me and I thought she could really give me the right tools and support. When I started working with Heather I had lost self worth and self confidence. I was prioritising others over my own well-being and safety. I was grieving the end of a project and friendships and having a stressful time with my visa.

She introduced me to some resources to process these emotions, apply self-compassion, etc. I regained a sense of self worth and was able to express my boundaries clearly, to say no to what doesn’t serve and be welcoming to abundance in my life with its many different forms.

After working with Heather, I have now regained a sense of self worth. I also feel more confident expressing my feelings and my needs even if it means some people will dislike it.

I am now navigating life more peacefully.

Heather turns leadership coaching into a deeply personal growth journey. Instead of one-size-fits-all training, she tailors her approach to fit your unique identity and your professional goals. I once thought success required changing myself to fit a conventional 'leader' archetype. Thanks to Heather's guidance, I learned that true leadership coaching isn’t about changing who I am but becoming more in tune with my authentic self, my values, and the leader I aspire to be.

When I first reached out to Heather, I was completely burned out and couldn’t imagine making it through the next day, let alone the coming months. Quitting seemed like an option, but I was determined to learn from the situation for the sake of my future career.

Together, we did just that. Every negative meeting, situation, or interaction became a lesson in communication, standing my ground, and staying true to myself. Heather provided me with invaluable techniques - how to prepare myself beforehand and manage the situation on the spot.

I learned to pick my battles, I learned when to care deeply and fight for what mattered, and when to step back and distance myself because it was the healthiest choice.

After six months of coaching, I went from being burned out and mentally exhausted to feeling positive and focused on the future. I became genuinely excited about my future goals
